Fantasy Football - I'm # 1!

Last night I had two Bears football players in the last game of my league's fantasy football season--before playoffs.

It was brutal in Chicago. They were saying the wind chill was -7 degrees. At least they were not playing in 8 inches of snow--like the losing Lions in Sunday's game in Philadelphia. But Bears do cold better than Lions.

I have Matt Forte and Alshon Jeffrey on my team. Forte played with cold bare arms. They both had a pretty spectacular game against the Dallas Cowboys, with Jeffrey making one impossible catch in the end zone. Their above-projection play gave me a win for the week and a first place position in the league going into play-offs.

I had a bad draft report card (C-) and was predicted to place last: "appears destined for the basement." Well, I paid attention to my team but I do not know football. What happened was very, very lucky. There is money at stake, too, which sweetens the prospect of final victory.

I am not really competitive, but all I have to say is that winning surely beats losing. The husband encouraged me to join my daughter's league and finally convinced me to participate by paying my entry fee. Now he just keeps telling her, "we have created a monster." Kind of a poopy thing to say!
