Sunshine for Christmas

The sun came out today and shone through all the ice and snow. I hope someone took a lot of photos. I did not. The red berries encased in ice, with sparkling diamond droplets, which I noticed on my way in to the grocery store, were spectacular--but I was getting groceries for Christmas, not on a photo shoot.

So I took a few photos from the house, opening a slider door in the sun room. It was cheering to see some blue sky today. Tonight it will be dark early, of course; it is only three days out from the winter solstice. We will eat pizza, attend a Christmas program and open gifts.
